The 23rd National Road Yard Sale starts tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27, and runs through Sunday, May 31, for the entire 824-mile route of U.S. 40 from Baltimore, Md., to St. Louis, Mo.

Vendor sales and family yard sales will be set up and ready to deal along the entire stretch of the National Road.

Find antiques, furniture, housewares, tools, collectibles, retro memorabilia and one-of-a-kind treasures in this event that celebrates the historic National Road, which was built between 1811 and 1834. The National Road was the first federally funded highway in U.S. history, connecting what is now Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.

Here are a few of the communities in Ohio that are planning yard sale events during this week. Many sites will host food and refreshments for sale in addition to yard sale items. If you know of others, please comment below. And many vendors don’t advertise ahead of time – look for signs and the locations where cars are stopped.
