Toft’s Dairy in Sandusky is known all over Ohio and even outside the state for their farm-fresh ice cream and other dairy products.

Toft’s celebrated its 125thanniversary last year as a family owned and operated business. The dairy has been making its “One Quality” products through five generations of family in Sandusky since 1900, making them Ohio’s oldest dairy.

They source their fresh milk and real cream from family farms to create a unique creamy taste that is remembered and loved by customers who keep coming back for more over many years. Thirteen local dairy farms within a 50-mile radius deliver fresh raw milk to the Sandusky plant 365 days a year.

Toft’s is adding more than 20,000 square feet of freezer space to their facility on Venice Road in Sandusky, allowing the company to expand its distribution capabilities.

There are more than 50 flavors of ice cream in Toft’s production line, including limited-time and seasonal flavors. They also produce milk, chocolate milk, buttermilk, egg nog, orange juice and flavored drinks.

There are four “scoop shops” where you can enjoy Toft’s ice cream, sundaes, shakes, malts and more:

  • The original Sandusky Ice Cream Parlor at Toft’s Dairy, with expansive indoor and outdoor seating areas, 3717 Venice Road, Sandusky.
  • The Port Clinton Toft’s Ice Cream Parlor, 4016 E. Harbor Road, Port Clinton.
  • Toft’s on 250, located on U.S. 250 between Kalahari Waterpark and the Sandusky Mall, 2413 Milan Road 1B, Sandusky.
  • Toft’s Grand Scoop, Toft’s newest ice cream parlor, opened in 2023 at 1288 W. Fifth Ave., Grandview.
