Dusty’s Short Stories

On this page are short stories, essays and other works of fiction and non-fiction by Ken Drenten (aka Dusty). When he’s not visiting or writing about interesting places in Ohio, he can often be found writing stories, some based on his own life and others from his imagination and interests.

Stories are mostly illustrated with ink or pencil drawings that Ken drew primarily in the 1970s-1980s, and that he recently rediscovered, digitized and colored. Some illustrations are new or are photos of the author.
