Are you looking for an out-of-the-ordinary venue for a holiday gathering, special dinner or getaway? Try one of Ohio’s historic taverns and inns, such as the Spread Eagle Tavern & Inn in Hanoverton.

This historic tavern was built around 1837 and has been painstakingly renovated and furnished in period decor. The inn has three floors, 11 historic rooms and 12 fireplaces in Federal Period architecture.

The tavern, located at 10150 Plymouth St., offers a full lunch and dinner menu where you can dine in one of several unique and historic settings. Next to the Spread Eagle is the Hanover House, a saltbox house built in 1820, where the Justice of the Peace lived.
